history of peermade

Peermade is an emerging tourist spot of idukki district. it is a hot tourist spot as well as shares many historical facts. The name peermade derived from the name of grate muslim prophet "Peer Muhammed' who had been came from far away and had died and burried over here,. another historical important is that peermade the place had a grate role in king ruled period of kerala. before the indian independence the whole country is divided into dynasties and were ruled by certain kings. At that time  kerala is divided into two dynasty were "thiruvithankoor & thiru kochi" . and the relation of peermade with this ruling is the summer place of thiruvithamkoor dynasty was situated at peermade the grate sou-veneer of that time still remains here proudly such as thotta pura " the room for storing of weapons" situated in peermade and another remaining fact over there is the rich heritage of ancient peoples "adhivasis" still remain there and till today they follow their encient customs.
There were many grate places to visit in peermade only some were known ones and some still remain hidden....when we tell about peermade "wagamon, thekkaddy & parunthan para" ussually came intoour mind but lot more to be revealed like peeli kunnu, ammachi kottaram "the summer palace' , plakkathadome " where the old weapon house situated", peermade temple " built by thiruvathamkoor MAHARAJA", etc..etc...
tourists can also understood the real heritage of malanadu in this visit. actually our government is doing nothing to promote this beautiful place...peermade has a grate future in the map of heritage and ayurvedic tourism map of the world...
